*Chrno (Flashback)*
Chrno Crusade
Making for: Robbie
Worn at: Ani-Magic 2004
Chara Info: Chrno is a demon with a heart of gold. He is sealed to Rosette, who wears the key to his locked power around her neck.
Why Him?: Robbie found a character he loves, so he's going to take advantage of all of Little Chrno's costumes ^^.
The Story: Although Robbie made most of this costume, he said that I should still put it up on my site. I did the more difficult parts and suggested fabrics, but it was largely Robbie's doing :).
The "poncho" is made from a knit mottled grey fabric. I hacked it up with scissors while he was wearing it, and we Fray-Checked the edges to prevent it from ravelling. The capelet is made from the same pattern that was used on Chrno's standard outfit. We couldn't find a fringe that looked tattered, so we sewed a strip of dingy white fabric into the hem and cut it into fringe. The collar is Fun Fur :). The grey rings around the arms and legs are interfaced cotton, and didn't work too well, so we'll be fixing that the next time he wears it. The armor is made from a base of curved cardboard. Craft foam was glued to each side to make it more comfortable to wear, and the whole ensemble was covered with a shiny blue PVC vinyl. The wig is a purple Enchantment wig from Amphigory with the front bits styled with hairspray.
Robbie looks really nice in this costume, but I don't know if he enjoys wearing it that much :/. The armor, wig, and grey rings make it a bit cumbersome.
