*Tenou Haruka (as Michiru's Painting)*

Event Worn At: Las Vegas Renaissance Faire 2005
Chara Info: You already know about Haruka if you've looked at my other costumes. This outfit comes from episode 106. Michiru painted Haruka in this outfit :).
Why Her?: I have so much fun cosplaying Haruka/Uranus! So I want to make lots of her outfits XD. I chose this one because I've never seen it done, and I thought it would make a good fairy costume for the Renaissance Faire.
The Story: The outfit consists of iridescent sheer (the material used for Super Sailor Moon's backbow) layered over sky-blue Casa satin. I think I succeeded in getting that shimmery blue effect, but hot damn is it shiny! I won't be taking any photos of this indoors XD.
I used a pattern for the top, but not for anything else. Most of the costume was easy -- but I had to roll-hem everything. And I do mean EVERYTHING. Roll-hemming is not that hard on a straight edge, but the hems of the circle skirts were really difficult X_x.
I like this costume, but I don't love it. I don't feel like Haruka in it -- it's so, so girly! I changed the design a little bit (the original has the shirt BARELY over her chest -- sorry, not happening!) and I think I made it too feminine. Oh well.
