*Juliet*
Romeo x Juliet

Chara Info: Juliet is a girl who was raised in disguise as a boy. Despite the upbringing, she can be very feminine! She was raised in disguise because she is the last surviving member of the Capulet house, which ruled before they were overthrown by the Montague house. Juliet's life changes completely when she meets Romeo.
Why Her?: A month before AX, we decided we needed a Juliet in our skit. Our friend Veronica, who luckily is a similar size to me, agreed to be our Juliet!
The Story: This is a costume Veronica and I share, even though I think it looks much cuter on her.
The skirt is a poly crepe trimmed in sateen and silk. Underneath the skirt is an attached slip with quite a lot of gathered fabric! The top is vaguely based on a commercial pattern, but required a lot of editing. The flounce on the bottom was added, and the gold design was painstakingly appliqued on!
The wig was originally a Linda XXL in Fire Red (the same color as Red Whirlwind), and I cut the bangs into it.
I am very proud of this costume and the entire 2007 RxJ project because I put so much work into it all! Three costumes and two gigantic props -- wow, that was a lot of work!
