Making for: Fun!

Chara Info: At the start of her high school career, Risa is already 170 cm. Unfortunately, she starts falling for her comedic partner and shortest guy in her class, Otani Atsushi (156 cm). Risa has a serious complex about her height -- hence the anime title!

Why Her?: I adore this show for its mix of comedy and romance, but I would be lying if I didn't say my main attraction to cosplaying Koizumi was her height in relation to her love interest XD. My boyfriend and I are both really close to their heights, and it's VERY rare that we find a duo that match our heights!

The Story This costume was about half closet stuff and half handmade.

The cardigan was originally pure white with ugly square pockets on the front. I tea-dyed the cardigan to give it the off-white color, ripped the pockets off and replaced them with faux 45-degree angle pockets. I made the red designs with fabric marker. The skirt was handmade (and needs to be remade -- I don't know what's going on with those pleats O_o). I already owned the shirt, I bought the stripey socks from Sock Dreams (Ravenclaw socks FTW!), and found the shoes on clearance at DSW. I had to dye the shoelaces orange because I couldn't find orange ones to save my life!

The cardigan and skirt need some work before I wear this again, but otherwise I think I look cute in this! I put a temporary red dye in my hair for this costume, and I like the look.
