*Kutenshi the Moogle Girl*
Final Fantasy Series

Chara Info: Moogles are helpful, cuddly creatures that have appeared in every Final Fantasy since V. They are versatile little things, and in some games can even join your party!
Why Her?: Moogle girls were all the rage a few years ago. I wanted to be one too! :P
The Story: I think this only cost me about $15 the first time I wore it. Most of the fabric was just scrap I had sitting in my sewing bin.
The shirt is made from flannel, and the sleeves are crushed panne and sparkle organza. I used bias tape and faux fur to hem the edges. My wings are directly sewn to the back of the shirt, and are also made out of crushed panne. There's light wire sewn into the edges of the wings. They crumple up easily, which makes it nice for storage, but they bend out of whack every time they get bumped :/.
The headband was painted red, and I made the ears out of flannel and fur trim. The antennae is a puffball attached to a piece of wire, which was wrapped around the headband.
I made this costume so that I could have something cute and comfortable to wear to school. So I wore it with jeans, and pinned some more fur to the hem of my pants. My hair was in low pigtails and I tied red ribbon around them. It was very cute, but I have no pictures of that version :/.
The second time I wore it was in 2004. I bought a cute red skirt from a thrift store and wore white stockings underneath. I also wore my Suu wig. This is also cute, but I think I liked the first version better. Oh well -- the only pictures I have are from this version.
