Worn at: Ani-Magic 2004

Chara Info: High-spirited and quick to anger, Rosette is a gun-toting nun hellbent on destroying demons and finding her brother Joshua.

Why Her?: I love Rosette, and since Robbie loves Chrno, we're taking advantage of all outfits they wear XD

The Story: Well, it doesn't get any easier than this.

The white shirt and skirt are made from broadcloth, and the pink is a thicker quilting cotton. I used a standard button-down shirt pattern for the white shirt and modified the collar and sleeves. The pink shirt was an edited sleeveless top pattern. The skirts I made from my own pattern. To fluff out the bottom skirt a bit (since broadcloth is pretty flimsy stuff) I sewed horsehair braid into the hem. The boots were purchased at Goodwill.

The wig is the only thing that I consider to be even a bit difficult, and that was more tedious than difficult. I had to weave a lot of extensions into the back of the wig so that the netting didn't show. That only took a few hours, though.

I guess I enjoyed wearing this costume. I love being Rosette. . .but it's SUCH a boring costume. I'm used to being in costumes that somehow catch the eye, and a little peasant girl does not catch the eye. Very few people recognize this as Rosette as well. Oh well. . .it packs light and it's VERY comfortable, so it's possible I'll cart this along at cons to be my relaxed costume ^^.
