*Tsukasa*
.hack//SIGN

Made for: Robbie

Worn at: Anime Expo 2003, Ani-Magic 2003, Las Vegas Renaissance Festival 2003, Cosplay.com Picnic II, Anime Expo 2004

Chara Info: The extremely antisocial lead character of .hack//SIGN. Tsukasa has mysteriously been permanently logged into The World, and can't get out. At least he has a cat and a little girl to keep him company. . .

Why Him?: Robbie adores .hack//SIGN and Tsukasa. He asked me to make this for him back in March of 2003.

The Story: This costume was pretty easy to make. There's a whole mishmash of fabrics in here. I originally planned on using all flannels and fleece for it, but I think Robbie would have died in that California heat and humidity wearing that sort of stuff. So instead I used twill and a light flannel. I also used a faux suede for the reddish-brown trims, which I think added a really nice dimension ^^.

I don't really know what to say about the construction of this costume, except it was really simple. The only thing that took a lot of time was the hoodie and the hat. The hoodie was made from a McCalls pattern and it took me three times to sew on that hood correctly :P. The hat is made from a Green Pepper pattern. The jewels are painted Sculpey and the trim is leftover stuff from my failed Deedlit armor.

I'm glad to say that Robbie always has fun wearing this. Of course, *I* think it's kinda sad that, out of all the costumes I've made in the past couple of years, the one with by far the most comments, glompage, and all-out adoration is the one that I didn't wear ;_; :P. However, I'm not perfectly satisfied with the way it turned out. This is one of those costumes I will be eternally tweaking to get perfect. The hat and boot covers are on version 2.0 right now, but will very soon be 3.0 ^^;;.
